Word of the Week
Every 2 weeks, you will compete in a digital photography contest (this is also a graded assignment) You are given a prompt (usually a word or a phase) that you will have to visually describe. You have full creative freedom on your subject matter. The photographs are put in to a slide show and the photo classes vote for the best artwork for that prompt. The top three photos are given extra credit and prominently displayed on our instagram feed. In addition, the winning artwork gets printed and displayed in the hallway for two weeks and put in the classroom for the remainder of the year.
Grading Criteria
TBD
Tips
1. Do not wait until the lat minute to shoot
2. Read your description out loud before turning it in. Be sure it makes sense, have someone else read it if needed.
3. Think outside the box. 75 students will be shooting the same theme. How can you make your artwork stand out.
4. Spend the time to set up your scene and think of a good concept.
5. Well taken photographs require little editing.
