Problem Statment:

Create an artwork (photography) that visually represents the prompt "satisfied"

For this unit do not do:

- a character smiling

- anything grade / education acheivment related

Cannot do EVER:

Sunsets, sunrises,

close up images of eyes,

tops of trees,

rainbows

Environments without context

Screenshots / images of screens

Images of statues / buildings without context

Sketchbook Directions

1. Create a background

Address the background of a single page

Photo 1 - 1 color

Photo 1 GT - 2 colors

Photo 2 - 3 Colors

2. Brainstorming #1 (10 points)

Create a list of situations that you consider to be "satisfying" - at least 10 

3. Essential Question (10 points)

Come up with your own essential question that starts with "why" or "how" - must be at least 5 sentences. or use one of the ones below:

Why do we need to accomplish things?

How does one determine when they are satisfied with their goals?

Why do we set goals?

How can you find satisfaction in failure?

4. Thumbnail Sketches (10 points)

Draw 3 thumbnail sketches. Label each thumbnail sketch with the photographer choices. Failure to label will result in zero credit for this section. Photographer choices can be found here:  https://mrhanson.wixsite.com/home/photo-choices

 

5. Inspirational Photos (5 points)

Photo 1 - Include 1 photograph that you can be inspired by for your final image. Label the photo choice(s) that you will be inspired by.
