Problem Statment:

Create an artwork (photography) that visually represents the prompt "Accident"or any other forms of the word. Feel free to explore antonyms as well as synonyms for the word. 

For this unit do not do:

- Car Accident or other forms of "crashes" involving vehilcles

- physical injuries

Cannot do EVER:

Anything that is AI created or content filled

Use images that you did not take

Images that you did not take during the alloted assignment time

Sunsets, sunrises,

close up images of eyes,

tops of trees,

rainbows

Environments without context

Screenshots / images of screens

Images of statues / buildings without context

1. Create a background (5 points) / Design

Address the background

2. Essential Question #1 (10 points)

Answer 1 of the following questions in a full paragraph (5 sentences).... 

How do people avoid accidents?

How can an accident be turned into a positive thing?

Why do accidents happen?

Why do you feel some people are more accident prone than others?

How do you get into an accident? (think about multiple situations in your life)

3. Make a list / grid (10 points)

Make a list or a grid of at least 15 activities / things you do. Think about your daily routines and your hobbies... 

Leave space around each one. 

4. Thumbnail Sketches (15 points) - 4 Total

Pick 3 ideas from your list to explore. 

Draw a thumbnail for each idea using the topics below:

- Most extreme accident as it's happening

- A way to avoid the accident from happening

- solution to the accident

- Aftermath of the accident

- Draw 1 thumbnail on a unique idea for for accident - Be sure it is not cliche... 

LABEL your thumbnails all of the appropriate photo choices. Labeling means that you're identifying what the environment is, not writing "environment). Do this with all the photo choices that apply to your photo. Failure to do this will result in no credit for the thumbnails.

Turning in

1. Go to the canvas assignment
 
2. Submit your photograph (note: if you are getting a file error, it's most likely that you are not submitting a jpeg. If that is the case, do the following
-----a. Send the photo to yourself via email attachment
-----b. Download the image from your chromebook other desktop device (not a phone or tablet). 
-----c. Go to https://heic.online/ and convert your file
-----d. resubmit
 
3. In the comment / description section write a brief / caption that gives your viewer a different insight into the photo. 

4. Submit
