Problem Statment:

Create an artwork (photography) that visually represents the prompt "Annoying"

For this unit do not do:

- a generic person (if you are doing a person, it needs to be a behavior)

- opening doors for people

- Chewing with mouth open

Cannot do EVER:

Sunsets, sunrises,

close up images of eyes,

tops of trees,

rainbows

Environments without context

Screenshots / images of screens

Images of statues / buildings without context

Sketchbook Directions

1. Create a background / well designed (10 points)

Address the background

use your entire space well

2. Brainstorming #1 (5 points)

Create a list of your top 5 things that annoy you the most

- next to each item, write down why they are annoying to you. 

3. Essential Question (10 Points)

Answer one of the following questions in a well developed paragraph (5+ sentences)

- Why are things annoying?

- How do you react to something that is annoying?

- Why do people chose to annoy others?

- How do you remove an annoyance?

- Why do certain behaviors annoy us?

4. Thumbnail Sketches (10 points)

Draw 3 thumbnail sketches. Label each thumbnail sketch with the photographer choices. Failure to label will result in zero credit for this section. Photographer choices can be found here:  https://mrhanson.wixsite.com/home/photo-choices

- If you are struggling, think about the following:

- go to your list of things that annoy you

- Think about how you would fix / remove the annoyance

- Why are you annoyed by it?

- Think about something small or minuscule. Try to find an idea that is obscure

 

5. Inspirational Photos (10 Points)

Photo 1 - Include 1 photograph that you can be inspired by for your final image. Label the photo choice(s) that you will be inspired by.

- Photo 1 GT / Photo 2 - Include 2 photographs that you can be inspired by for your final image. Label the photo choice(s) that you will be inspired by.

6. Bookmark your sketchbook when turning in (5 Points)

Either use the rubric or you blue bookmark
