Haunted
Problem Statment:
Create an artwork (photography) that visually represents the prompt "Haunted" (or any other forms of the word, such as haunt, haunting or synonyms... )
For this unit do not do:
- Ghosts, Pumpkins, Halloween Decorations, Someones face when they are scared.
Cannot do EVER:
Sunsets, sunrises,
close up images of eyes,
tops of trees,
rainbows
Environments without context
Screenshots / images of screens
Images of statues / buildings without context
Sketchbook Directions
1. Create a background (5 points)
Address the background using watercolor
2. Essential Question (10 Points)
- Create your own question that starts with why or how.
Answer your question in at least 5 sentences.
3. Brainstorming #1 (10 points)
Create a word chain that starts with the word "haunted". Expand your chain to include 50 words.
4. Thumbnail Sketches (10 points)
a. Draw a thumbnail sketch by making a connection between at least 3 words of your word chain.
b. Draw a second thumbnail sketch using 3 different words from your word chain.
c. Draw 1 additional thumbnail sketch based on a synonym for "haunting"
d. Photo 1 GT / Photo 2 - Draw an additional thumbnail sketch based on the opposite of "haunted"
LABEL your thumbnails all of the appropriate photo choices.
