Problem Statment:

Create an artwork (photography) that visually represents the prompt "Chaos" (or any other forms of the word, such as Chaotic... )

For this unit do not do:

- Hallways of Howard High School​

- A place that is crowded or busy

Cannot do EVER:

Anything that is AI created or content filled

Use images that you did not take

Images that you did not take during the alloted assignment time

Sunsets, sunrises,

close up images of eyes,

tops of trees,

rainbows

Environments without context

Screenshots / images of screens

Images of statues / buildings without context

Sketchbook Directions

1. Create a background (5 points)

Create a background using a 2 color water color background (paint or water color pencil)

2. Essential Question (10 Points)

- Create your own question that starts with why or how. 

Answer your question in at least 5 sentences. 

3. Brainstorming #1 (15 points)

Create a web in the middle of your page. 

a. Start with chaos in the center (layer 1)

b. Break Out# 1 (blue circles) - List 5 synonyms and 1 antonym

b. Break Out# 2 (Pink Circles) - List 2 places / situations you associate with the synonyms / antonym (12 total - 2 per)

c. Break Out# 3 (Yellow Circles)List 1 item that you would possibly see as a prop in each location (12 total) 

4. Thumbnail Sketches (5 points)

Photo 1 - Draw 2 thumbnail sketches based on your web above. 

Photo 1 GT / Photo 2 - Draw 3 thumbnail sketches based on your list above (one must be the antonym)

 

LABEL your thumbnails all of the appropriate photo choices. Failure to do this will result in no credit for the thumbnails.

Turning in

1. Go to the canvas assignment
 
2. Submit your photograph (note: if you are getting a file error, it's most likely that you are not submitting a jpeg. If that is the case, do the following
-----a. Send the photo to yourself via email attachment
-----b. Download the image from your chromebook other desktop device (not a phone or tablet). 
-----c. Go to https://heic.online/ and convert your file
-----d. resubmit
 
3. In the comment / description section write a brief / caption that gives your viewer a different insight into the photo. 

4. Submit
