Problem Statment:
Create an artwork (photography) that visually represents the prompt "Frustrate"
For this unit do not do:
- Bad Grades, Work load, school work, crumpled up pieces of paper
- Anything walking in the hallway related
- Photos taken at school without permission from Mr. Hanson
Cannot do EVER:
Sunsets, sunrises,
close up images of eyes,
tops of trees,
rainbows
Environments without context
Screenshots / images of screens
Images of statues / buildings without context
Images of others artwork
Anything AI created
Any composite in which you use someone elses images.
Sketchbook Directions
1. Craftsmanship / Design (10 points)
- Address the background
- Use your entire space well
- Looks presentable (no exposed tape, cut straight, readable, does not look rushed).
2. Essential Question (10 points)
Create a question that starts with why or how?
Write at least 5 well written sentences answering your question.
3. Web (5 points)
Create a web of 10 things that can be "frustrating"
Next to each one, write down why they are frustrating OR a solution to the frustration.
4. Thumbnail Sketches (10 points)
- Draw 3 thumbnail sketches. based on ideas from your web.
- Label on the outside of your TB sketch
- Label each thumbnail sketch with ALL OF THE photographer choices. Photographer choices can be found here: https://mrhanson.wixsite.com/home/photo-choices
5. Inspirational Photos (10 Points)
Photo 1 - Include 1 photograph that you can be inspired by for your final image. Label the photo choice(s) that you will be inspired by.
- Photo 1 GT / Photo 2 - Include 2 photographs that you can be inspired by for your final image. Label the photo choice(s) that you will be inspired by.
6. Bookmark your sketchbook when turning in (5 Points)
